LAUDA inaugurates a new logistics centre and new production hall at its headquarters in Lauda-Königshofen
Lauda-Königshofen, November 25, 2013 – LAUDA has inaugurated its new logistics centre and a new production hall. “With our location development program we have laid the foundations for a modern and future-oriented business location in Lauda-Königshofen in the past eight years,” said Managing Director Dr.Gunther Wobser at the inauguration of the new building last Friday. At the inauguration ceremony around 150 guests came from the region.
With the site development program in the future
With STEP, a site development program, the company has laid an important foundation for a successful future. “Here at our main location, the heart for our 57-year-old family business, we have invested more than ten million euros,” said managing partner Dr.Gunther Wobser. Through this investment we will be able to produce the highest quality equipment and systems at optimal cost in the coming years and decades. “The family builds its headquarters in several steps. A few years ago a new production hall had already been dedicated for the business unit heating and cooling systems.
However, STEP is not only the construction of new industrial buildings, but also a change of processes within the company, such as in the manufacture & in logistics. These changes had gone to the construction of the new logistics centre and the new production hall ahead. Today already showing initial success. This enabled LAUDA the stock to be reduced by 1.5 million euros to increase the productivity per unit area and to greatly shorten the lead times in production – an ideal basis in order to meet customer demands more quickly in the future.
Responsible architect in the construction, Klaus Schreiner and Dr.Martin Beauty by project partner Dr. Beauty + Partner GmbH handed over the symbolic key to the managing partners Dr. Gunther Wobser.
